STEMAIDE Rover-Kit

The STEMAIDE Rover Kit takes young learners on an exciting journey into mobile robotics and mechanical engineering.

Designed for:
Upper Primary Basic School (Basic 4 to Basic 9, ages 9–14).

Students assemble a sturdy 2-wheeled robot car, connecting electric motors, high-grip rubber wheels, and rechargeable battery packs.

Using visual, beginner-friendly coding, they teach their Rover how to navigate mazes, dodge walls automatically, and respond to wireless remote control from a smartphone or tablet.

All operating 100% offline without needing internet access!

01 · Core Philosophy

The Rover-Kit is built on the belief that robotics is the ultimate synthesis of mechanical design and digital logic. We aim to ignite a passion for robotics in upper primary students by making autonomous navigation tangible and fun. By combining tactile mechanical assembly with visual coding, we empower young minds to understand that they have the power to create machines that think, move, and react to their environment.

02 · Engineering Precision

Designed for the rugged environment of a classroom floor, the Rover-Kit features high-traction rubber tires and custom-geared twin electric motors that deliver consistent torque without slipping. The robust 'muscle shield' safely regulates power distribution, while the integrated sonar and infrared sensors provide high-speed, accurate distance mapping for flawless autonomous obstacle avoidance.

Earned capability.

STEMAIDE builds engineering capability in African learners using hardware they can hold, curriculum aligned to their national syllabus, and a system that works with no internet at all.

inventory_2 What's in the Box

  • Robot Brain & Muscle Shield – A powerful computer brain paired with a special 'muscle shield' that gives the robot the electrical power needed to drive wheels forwards, backwards, and spin in circles.

Twin Electric Motors & Grip Wheels – Two high-speed electric motors connected to custom gearboxes and high-traction rubber tires designed to grip school floors without slipping.

  • Autonomous Obstacle & Wall Sensors – Bat-vision sonar and infrared 'eyes' that let the robot see walls, classroom furniture, and drop-offs before it crashes.
  • Wireless Bluetooth & Rechargeable Battery – An invisible wireless radio link plus a long-lasting rechargeable lithium battery pack that keeps the robot running strong without trailing wires.
