Every month, we celebrate the outstanding creativity emerging from our STEMAIDE community. This month, the spotlight lands firmly on 11-year-old David, who utilized components from his Level 2 Advanced Kit to solve a real household problem.
"My mom always forgot to water her indoor plants and they kept dying," David explained with a smile. "So I used the soil moisture sensor from the kit, wrote a loop in the STEMAIDE app, and hooked it up to a small water pump. Now, when the soil gets too dry, the pump runs for exactly 5 seconds."
David's project perfectly encapsulates the core goal of our ecosystem: applying learned technology to solve immediate, physical problems in the real world. David's mother, who enrolled him in our Home Tuition program earlier this year, says the confidence he's gained extends far beyond the circuitry. Kudos, David!
